Wow UB40 are in town! They are here to play a super intimate gig at the Rainbow Warehouse in Digbeth, Birmingham.

All in aid of raising money for the Rainbow Pub, which is looking to build a new sound insulating roof over its Courtyard after receiving a noise abatement order. Brian Travers from UB40 heard of the shortfall in funds and arranged for the band to perform the show to help out.

All profits from ticket and bar sales will go towards the fund, which aims to raise £30,000.

There were already fans queuing outside (some 6hours before the band are due to go onstage), and having traveled all the way from Devon to show their support!

I caught up with the band this afternoon while they were sound checking for tonight’s performance, and got a few snaps.
