Way back in September MixMag sent me on tour with Kissy Sell Out and his Live band / show for a feature. The feature ran in the December issue, and now finally I’ve got a copy I can share here:

I spent a weekend on the tour bus covering three live dates in Manchester, Leeds and Aberdeen.

I would like to say a huge and massive thanks to Kissy, Dan, Aicha, Matt, Santi, Trisala, Sam and Harry for having me on board the tour, and for making me feel so welcome for the entire duration – I really did feel part of it all even though my stay was brief, and the access and freedom I was given was just fantastic.

Its a shame MixMag isn’t a 1000 page leather bound book that could spare more pages for features, as 2 pages doesn’t do it justice

Shot Codeine Velvet Club on their last gig of their tour at Glee Club Birmingham – Supposed to be for News of the World review but they didn’t run my pic.

Never mind, the Sunday Times picked it up and ran it!

Awful lighting, main reason I haven’t posted any of the pics yet, didn’t really think the photos made the grade. Atmospheric though?

Back in November I went down to London to shoot Subfocus for his iDJ cover feature, the mag is now out – so go grab yourself a copy right away – here are the shots, the red and green ones didn’t make it into the feature. I’ll get some scans up soon!

Didn’t have very long to set up and shoot the main cover shot – as we were waiting for the different companies to bring the kit along, and there was about 40mins crossover when all the kit would be together, and boy are music studios small!

Nick was super cool all day, and was a joy to work with. Big thanks also to Christine and Dave Jenkins for all there help holding lights where there was no room for stands, and holding jackets to cover windows …etc – couldn’t have done it without your help

These shots were done under the London Eye – you can see the cables that hold the thing in place in the background – the top one was used as the lead for the feature

These shots didn’t make it into the feature, which is a shame cause I like them hahaha, bit of red and green Christmas cheer for you!

The Independent on Sunday used one of my photos from the Birmingham Simple Minds gig yesterday – glad they decided to use it nice a big, unlike the News of the World who ran a stamp sized thumbnail of mine to go with their review of the same gig!

Cocoon landed at the Warehouse Project last Friday (20th November 2009) bringing in the legendary Loco Dice.
