Back in November I went down to London to shoot Subfocus for his iDJ cover feature, the mag is now out – so go grab yourself a copy right away – here are the shots, the red and green ones didn’t make it into the feature. I’ll get some scans up soon!
Didn’t have very long to set up and shoot the main cover shot – as we were waiting for the different companies to bring the kit along, and there was about 40mins crossover when all the kit would be together, and boy are music studios small!
Nick was super cool all day, and was a joy to work with. Big thanks also to Christine and Dave Jenkins for all there help holding lights where there was no room for stands, and holding jackets to cover windows …etc – couldn’t have done it without your help

These shots were done under the London Eye – you can see the cables that hold the thing in place in the background – the top one was used as the lead for the feature
These shots didn’t make it into the feature, which is a shame cause I like them hahaha, bit of red and green Christmas cheer for you!

The Independent on Sunday used one of my photos from the Birmingham Simple Minds gig yesterday – glad they decided to use it nice a big, unlike the News of the World who ran a stamp sized thumbnail of mine to go with their review of the same gig!
Simple Minds with support form OMD played last night at the LG Arena (nec) Birmingham as part of their Graffiti Soul tour which is in the uk during December.
A little before my time being a youngster and all, but it was hard to miss all the classics, and with every single song being pelted out with such enthusiasm and force it makes them every bit as enjoyable and relevant as they were back then, and Im still humming along in my head now

Photos from tonight’s awesome Rodrigo Y Gabriela gig @ Birmingham O2 Academy.
I hadn’t even heard of these guys until a couple of days before the gig, but a couple of searches on youtube convinced me I was in for a very special time.
Blimey, I wasn’t disappointed at all, do these two know how to play guitar or what? They absolutely rocked through their set, and even dropped some Metallica into the equation!
Go find out when they are playing near you and grab yourself two tickets, one for yourself and one for a friend.

Last weekend ( 13th November 2009) I was up in Manchester covering Micron 3rd Birthday with Christian Burkhardt. Lovely intimate venue at Joshua Brooks, and a super packed out crowd.
